Investigating media violence and aggression in adolescents: Applying psychological concepts in neuroscience to assist in solving the social issue

Summary:
Increased incidences of adolescent violence in society have promoted public concern and scientific inquiry. One of the underlying factors that influence adolescent aggression is high exposure to media violence. Psychologists have researched the link between media violence and aggression in adolescents and have suggested behavioural, emotional and cognitive influences that could cause adolescents to respond to social situations violently. Recent studies show that applying these psychological studies in neuroscience will shed further light on the concerning social issue.
